Lead Counsel Program

What is the Lead Counsel Program?
All Lead Counsel Members have worked as licensed attorneys for five years and devote no less than 30 percent of their practice to their designated Lead Counsel area. Each attorney is backed by peer references verifying an excellent reputation in their communities. Many of LawInfo's Lead Counsel Members hold official positions in major legal organizations and committees. A significant amount of Lead Counsel Members have won awards for distinguished service and continue to hold positions on legal advisory boards.

Lead Counsel Members have been practicing for at least 5 years, have a 30% concentration in the practice area in which they are designated as Lead Counsel Members and have excellent reputations in their communities (as verified by peer references). Many of LawInfo's Lead Counsel Members hold official positions in major legal organizations and academies and on many boards. Many have won awards, been recognized by their Bar Associations, and played quintessential roles in their communities.

Although the Lead Counsel Program is not an attorney referral service, LawInfo takes the Lead Counsel Program qualification process seriously and relies on attorney applicants, attorney peers (references), and attorney members to do the same. Members commit to notifying LawInfo immediately should any status change in their practices that may make them ineligible for continuation in The Lead Counsel Program.

Typically we can return an answer within 5-7 business days.

Do you really check the applicant's Bar Association status?
Absolutely!

Are Lead Counsel Members that are listed in Premier Positions charged?
Yes. Many Lead Counsel Members see the benefit in advertising and Internet Marketing so we provide a means to do that via a directory listing.

How is Lead Counsel associated with LawInfo.com, Inc?
LawInfo.com, Inc. is the closely held California Corporation that conceptualized and implemented the Lead Counsel Program in 1996. Recently, it became evident that there was a need in the Internet community to have a site dedicated just to The Lead Counsel Program, so LawInfo.com, Inc. created the www.leadcounsel.com. For many years qualified Lead Counsel Members have paid to become part of LawInfo's extensive attorney database, as part of an exclusive marketing program. The opportunity now exists on many different levels on many different Web sites.

Is this a referral service?
NO! Neither The Lead Counsel Program nor any of LawInfo.com, Inc.'s attorney directories are referral services, they are programs that allow all attorneys to apply, do not charge fees for applying or being designated as members (as with the Lead Counsel Program), do not charge visitors fees to search the various Web sites and databases of information, do not in any way become involved in the Web site visitors selection process subsequent to their visit, and do not ever become involved in the attorney - client relationship. We do research the attorneys that apply for the Lead Counsel Program (only), allow qualified applicants/ members to use the designation and, if they so choose, participate in Internet advertising in some form of directory listing, for a fee. Members that qualify but do not chose to pay a fee to be listed in the various programs can still be verified through a members list.

Can members still have a listing on LawInfo.com?
If there are positions available.

What if I don't have a good Web site to link my listing to?
Our custom development team and Internet Identity specialists are experts in updating content and designs to improve your Web site as well as your client conversion ratio derived from Internet Marketing Strategies.
